Job description

The Laminator/Assembler I will be an important part of a skilled manufacturing team that builds fiberglass tanks and accessories.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operates equipment needed to perform the job
– Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
– Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
– Utilize safe work habits
– Wear appropriate PPE
– Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
– Comply with all NOV HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
– Comply with all NOV Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
– Cut hand lay-up glass to proper sizes
– Assist in assembly and fabrication of finished products
– Assist in fabricating, preparing, and installing fittings and other parts
– Repairs product defects (including, but not limited to, grinding, patching, etc.) as marked by appropriate personnel
– Visually inspects, takes measurements and other process checks and notifies appropriate personnel of off-quality material
– Observe and assist co-workers in the inside lay-up of tanks
– Mix resin and catalyst according to conditions to ensure proper laminate cures
– Saturate fiberglass mat and woven roving
– Check, clean, change and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure application efficiencies
– Assist in the application of rib forms and formation of rib channel
– Roll out shells, end caps, panels and accessories
– Operate equipment, power tools, assembly jigs and material handling equipment (including, but not limited to, band saws, drill press, cut-off saws, etc.)
– Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant
– Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor

Rate Type : Hourly
Target Pay Rate Range : $18.80

***EDUCATION: MINIMUM HIGH SCHOOL OR GED***

WORK HOURS:
Normal work week is Monday-Thursday, 10 hours per day, 6 am – 430 pm.
Overtime is mandatory.
Friday and Saturday, 8 hours per day. 6 am – 230 pm
